Usage
Understand how frequently assigned hotkeys and Text Shortcuts are used across totals, calendar dates, and daily details.
Review shortcut usage
Usage reports how often assigned keyboard hotkeys and Text Shortcuts are actually used. It combines summary totals, a yearly contribution calendar, and details for a selected day.
The current settings panel loads analytics for the local cmdOS user unless another user identifier is supplied by the calling surface.
These analytics measure assigned hotkeys and Text Shortcuts; they are not a general browser screen-time report.
Calendar intensity colors adapt to the active dark or light cmdOS theme.
Read the usage summary
The summary cards calculate four totals from the loaded shortcut activity.
The combined number of recorded hotkey and Text Shortcut activations.
Recorded activations made with assigned physical keyboard combinations.
Recorded activations made with assigned text triggers.
The number of calendar days containing at least one recorded activation.
Explore activity by date
The contribution calendar uses intensity levels to show how shortcut activity changes across the selected year.
Move to the previous or next year, or return to the current date using the calendar controls.
Choose a calendar cell to load the detailed usage recorded for that date.
Higher activity receives a stronger usage color; zero-activity dates use the base level.
Inspect a selected day
Daily Usage Details explains the shortcut events behind the selected calendar cell.
The detail panel follows the date currently selected in the contribution calendar.
Review the hotkey and Text Shortcut activity available for that day rather than relying only on the yearly total.
Dates without recorded usage remain valid selections and show an empty daily result.
