Screenshot Commands
Capture the visible tab, copy a capture, export a full page, or select one webpage element.
Choose the capture you need
Screenshot commands run against the active webpage. cmdOS closes its command surface before capturing so the documentation/search UI is not included in the saved image.
Captures the currently visible tab area as a PNG and saves it through the browser download flow.
Captures the visible tab, downloads the PNG, and also copies the same image to the clipboard.
Captures the complete scrollable page and lets you finish the export as PDF, PNG, or JPG.
Starts element selection on the current page so one hovered and selected element can be captured as a PNG.
Capture the visible tab
Use this when the content already visible in the browser is exactly what you want to keep.
Open cmdOS while the target webpage is the active tab.
Search for the displayed command name or use its configured command prefix.
After cmdOS closes, the extension captures the visible tab and sends the PNG to Downloads.
Copy and download one capture
Clip & Download Screenshot is useful when the image must be pasted immediately and retained as a file.
Select the command from the webpage command surface.
cmdOS captures the visible tab after its own surface has closed.
Paste the clipboard image into another app or open the downloaded PNG from the browser Downloads list.
Capture the complete scrollable page
The full-page command scrolls through the document, captures its sections, and combines them into one export.
Let the page finish loading, including images and content that appears while scrolling.
cmdOS begins the scrolling capture for the active tab.
Finish the capture as PDF, PNG, or JPG using the format chooser shown by the extension.
Capture one page element
Element capture isolates a selected part of the page instead of saving the entire viewport.
The extension enters element-selection mode on the active webpage.
Move over the page until the intended element is highlighted, then select it.
cmdOS captures the selected element and downloads it as a PNG.
